Christ Exalted

Lifting High the Name of Jesus in Every Sphere of Society

Our Foundation: Christ Above All

At City Elders, we believe that Jesus Christ must be exalted in every area of life—in our homes, our churches, our workplaces, and our government. When Christ is lifted high, His truth, His righteousness, and His kingdom principles transform communities and nations.

Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV)
"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

What It Means to Exalt Christ

To exalt Christ means to recognize His supreme authority over all creation and to submit every area of our lives—and our society—to His lordship. This is not merely a personal commitment; it is a call to transform our culture through the power of the Gospel.

In Our Personal Lives

We exalt Christ when we make Him the center of our decisions, our relationships, and our daily walk. This means living according to biblical principles, seeking His will in prayer, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our actions.

In Our Families

Christ is exalted in families that honor God's design for marriage, raise children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, and create homes where biblical values are lived out daily. Strong, godly families are the foundation of a strong, godly nation.

In Our Communities

When believers unite to serve their communities, demonstrate Christ's love, and stand for biblical truth, Christ is exalted. City Elders councils work to ensure that Christian values and principles guide local governance and community life.

In Our Government

We exalt Christ in government by electing leaders who honor God, supporting legislation that aligns with biblical principles, and ensuring that our laws reflect the truth of God's Word. We believe that government should serve God's purposes and protect the rights He has given us.

Our Mission: A Nation Under God

City Elders is committed to exalting Christ by establishing godly governance at every level of society. We believe that when Christ is truly exalted, families flourish, liberty is defended, and life is protected. This is not a political agenda—it is a spiritual mandate to see God's kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:25 (NIV)
"For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet."

How We Exalt Christ Through City Elders

Prayer and Intercession

We begin with prayer, recognizing that spiritual battles require spiritual weapons. City Elders councils gather regularly to intercede for their communities, binding the works of darkness and releasing the power of God's kingdom.

Biblical Governance

We promote biblical principles in governance, ensuring that laws and policies reflect God's truth. This includes protecting religious freedom, defending the sanctity of life, and upholding the family as God designed it.

Raising Up Godly Leaders

We identify, train, and support Christian leaders who will serve in government positions—from school boards to city councils to state legislatures. These leaders serve as salt and light, bringing Christ's influence into every sphere of authority.

Cultural Transformation

We work to transform culture by standing for truth, promoting righteousness, and demonstrating Christ's love. When believers unite and act, communities change, and Christ is exalted.
